My primary symptom from my Cipro ADR was depression. While I had had brief periods of "minor" depression before, Cipro threw me into a full-scale, suicidal, incapacitating, major depression lasting a year. My psychiatrist said that antibiotics can cause my conditions. I asked her whether the ADRs were temporary or permanent, she said "I always have hope." That translates from doctor-ease as "not much chance it will improve."
